Healthy Eating

Brooklands promotes healthy eating in line with local guidance. Children who are with us during meal times will need to be provided with a healthy snack/ packed lunch.

Fresh drinking water will be freely available throughout your child's session. We ask that parents provide their child with an appropriate drinking bottle.

Our Team

Jane Reynolds is the Registered Provider of the setting and employs dedicated, professional, qualified staff.

Emma Harrison is the nursery manager. All staff strive to provide a caring, relaxed, homely environment for both children and parents.

We are proud to say that all our staff team are paediatric first aid trained meeting Ofsted required standards.

Key Workers

All children in the nursery are assigned a key worker. Your child's key worker will make the transition from home to nursery as smooth as possible. We would like all children to view nursery as an extension to their home. Your child's key worker is responsible for observing and monitoring your child's learning journey.

Sharing Information

Our key workers have high aspirations for all of our children, and will help each child reach their full potential.

We encourage parents to keep in touch verbally each day at handover and also using the Tapesty app where both learning at home and nursery can be shared and celebrated through videos, photographs and written observations.

Our SENDCO

We make sure that additional needs are identified early and offer a range of provision to meet individual needs. Emma Harrison, the nursery manager, is the appointed SENDCO. Alongside your child's key worker, Emma is the first point of contact. She works with a range of appropriate professionals to make sure that children receive the support they need to develop.

Outdoor Space

We are very fortunate at Brooklands to be able to offer the children an extensive, varied, secure and spacious outdoor environment!

The playground, ideal for wheeled toys and group games/activities. The playground is completely covered in a protective rubber flooring.

The top grass is a large grassed area where the children can grow fruit and vegetables, explore and play football and run around.

The front grass is another large grassed area with climbing equipment, play houses, sand pit, stone area, tyres/planks /milk crates, all of which enhance the children's learning, gross motor skills and imagination.

The mud kitchen is a separate enclosed area on the front grass for the children to be creative (and get messy)!

We also have the decking area covered with a canopy which can be accessed directly from the nursery.
